An automated system meant to fix low-quality images in customer documents accidentally released around 11,000 files with temporary (expiring) assets because they skipped proper review. About 5,700 of these were fixed with no impact, but 5,300 had assets that expire after 90 days and couldn’t be extended. The team has reprocessed the affected items by updating the customer profiles with the correct documents to prevent issues. However, there is still a small risk that if a customer reorders after the 90-day window, the design could contain an expired asset, which may lead to the order being rejected.
