Vista reports that the issue is resolved on their end. PayPal responded that the latent effects they observed (503 errors) were part of the overall recovery. No further problems have been reported and the incident is contained.

Support teams are still waiting for an update from PayPal regarding the errors. Impact is difficult to determine at this point but there are still payments going through, so it’s not all customers.

We’ll continue to monitor the situation and send another update by EOD (if not sooner, depending on the response from PayPal).

After reactivating the PayPal payment method, there still appears to be some errors (503 from PayPal). Support teams have been notified and are still looking into the issue. Next update in 1 hour or sooner.

The PayPal teams have indicated that the issue should now be resolved. Vista is in the process of confirming the fix and reactivating PayPal as a payment method for customers. Next update in 30 minutes or sooner.

Vista has reported an increased error rate for US-based customers when using Paypal as a payment method. The errors indicate a problem with the Paypal SDK (pre-auth API failure). Customers are currently able to use alternate payment methods.
