eCommerce teams have confirmed that PayPal is reviewing the issue. Vista is still seeing some errors, though it’s decreased substantially since this morning. We’ll send another update once more details from PayPal’s investigation have been shared.

The support team is currently waiting for a response from PayPal. The next update will be shared once we hear back from the PayPal team.

Case reopened as teams are once again receiving 503 errors from PayPal during express checkout. Next update in 30mins or less.

The support team has confirmed that the service is now stable and has emailed PayPal Support for RCA. The case status is being moved to ‘Contained.’

UPDATE:
The eCommerce team reported that the service has been stable for the past 10 minutes (since approximately 8:00 AM UTC), and it appears to have auto-resolved. Team observed around three waves of failures. The team is currently monitoring the issue. Once we receive confirmation of resolution from PayPal, we will consider this incident resolved.

CTIM is currently investigating, at high priority, an incident involving 503 Service Unavailable errors from PayPal during Express Checkout. The eCommerce team has reported that services are stabilizing, but intermittent failures are still appearing in the logs.
