Since this isn’t a critical issue with direct impact to production, we’ll close out the incident for now. The dev team is aware of the problem and will be investigating possible options to improve the API latency.

The Rhydon squad is currently investigating this issue and it may take some time. The next update will be provided once we receive more information from them.

Dev teams at National Pen reported ~11k requests to the Paperless Status API in the past 30days with high latency (>10 seconds). The delays are currently impacting their production apps. The request was received already by D’Ninjas via email, but we are sending an official escalation to track the incident. This is currently ‘High’ priority, meaning support teams will respond to this within normal business hours (ie. we are not engaging paging for this issue currently).
