Performance of the calculator service continues to stabilize. No further issues have been reported. The incident is now contained.

Incident Updated: DB infrastructure has been modified and metrics show improvement, although there remains an increased load on the service. The issue has been updated to include Vista and BoxUp, as it could have prevented checkouts for customers.
Incident Updated: The service still appears to be degraded as the DBs have not fully recovered. Dev teams are actively working the issue.

From 11:45am ET until 12:04am ET Calculator Service received triple its normal traffic which caused a degraded experience for all upstream clients (including Vista checkout when getting shipping pricing). This issue has been contained already and support teams are monitoring the service.
