Performance Degradation in Fulfillment Configuration Service

Incident Resolved: CTIM-662
Pixart Pricing, as well as other impact has remained stable for more than 1 hour since most recent round of improvements made by Amarok Squad. At this point CTIM will consider this contained and ask that Pixart share any new impact in the CTIM-662 channel. If the situation remains stable, CTIM will check back in tomorrow during Amarok business hours on the status of the long term improvements.

Incident Updated: Product Catalog Domain’s Amarok squad have deployed another new improvement to cache responses from the Fulfillment Configurations Service so as not to bombard this service. Pixart has confirmed this has resolved the pricing issue on the singular SKU they were experiencing and Amarok is confident this will contain the issue while they work on further improvements (ETA for these improvements, completed tomorrow).

Incident Updated: Pixart reporting another SKU currently affected with no pricing returned. Amarok has implemented the cacheing in Price Integration service and are now slowly removing rate limited products. Amarok also starting on the next improvement which is to add short-lived cacheing in Price Integration service to reduce the load on Input Discovery. CTIM to update when current affected SKU is stable or within 1 hour.

Incident Updated: Fulfillment Configuration Service has recovered again. Teams are working on deciphering how the investigation should continue and where the overall heavy strain on this service is stemming from.
